I work with individuals, couples, and families across all stages of life, creating a warm, inclusive space where real change becomes possible.
"I believe the therapeutic relationship is the most important element in creating meaningful change."
— Dr. Laura EltahawyExploring patterns in intimacy, attachment, communication, and trust, either individually or with a partner, to build more fulfilling connections.
From generalized worry to panic and social anxiety, we work together to understand the roots and build lasting strategies for relief and resilience.
A compassionate, evidence-based approach to understanding and lifting the weight of depression, low mood, and feelings of being "not enough."
Using EMDR and trauma-focused approaches to help you process difficult experiences and reduce the hold they have on your daily life.
Building a grounded, confident sense of self, including support for LGBTQ+ identity, racial identity, and multicultural experiences.
Guidance through divorce, grief, parenting challenges, & career changes, and helping to navigate these transitions with clarity, self-compassion, and a clear sense of direction.
I don't believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. My approach is integrative, drawing from CBT, psychodynamic, and relational traditions, but always tailored to you as an individual. I take the time to get to know you before we identify specific goals together.
"The most important element in therapy is the relationship between therapist and client."
Identifying thought patterns that keep you stuck, and replacing them with more flexible, goal-oriented ways of seeing yourself and the world.
An evidence-based approach to processing traumatic memories, reducing their emotional charge so they no longer disrupt your daily life.
Exploring how early experiences and relational patterns shape who you are today and how understanding them creates lasting change.
A genuinely accepting environment where your full identity, including culture, background, and community, is honored and explored.
Dr. Laura Eltahawy, PsyD
I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology from Pace University and have spent my career working with a diverse range of clients, ranging from preteens and teenagers to adults and elders. I believe that no two people are the same, and that therapy should reflect that.
My style is warm, collaborative, and direct. I create a space where you can show up exactly as you are, whether that means exploring your identity, navigating a difficult relationship, or simply figuring out how to feel like yourself again.
I have a particular passion for working with the LGBTQ+ community, minority populations, and women — groups who deserve a therapist who brings genuine cultural awareness and humility to every session.
Supporting young people through identity, peer relationships, academic pressure, and the challenges of growing up.
Navigating career, relationships, identity, mental health, and the full complexity of adult life.
Working through conflict, communication patterns, and the dynamics that shape your closest relationships.
A genuinely affirming space for individuals exploring identity, navigating family dynamics, or seeking community-aware care.
Individual sessions are $250. Couples & family sessions are $300. Superbills provided for out-of-network reimbursement.

I currently offer telehealth sessions, via a secure HIPAA-compliant video platform. Many clients find this format more flexible and just as effective as in-person therapy.
The first session is a chance to get to know each other. I'll ask about what's bringing you in, your background, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. It's a conversation — not an evaluation.
Yes — I work with preteens, teens, adults, elders, couples, and families. Each requires a different approach, and I'm trained to work across all of these contexts.
Yes — I accept Aetna, Anthem, Oscar Health, Oxford, and Quest Behavioral Health. For out-of-network clients, I can provide a superbill to help with reimbursement through your insurance provider.
Yes. Everything you share is confidential, with very limited legal exceptions such as imminent risk of harm. I'll explain all of this in detail during our first session.
